Mountain Stol

ADVENTURE FOR THE PERSISTENT

Are you ready to feel the power of nature?

Come with us on an adventure where you will be able to climb to the top of the Stol mountain (1,156 meters) and the top of mountain Veliki Krs (1,148 meters) in one day. Extremely attractive limestone mountains that offer you unforgettable views and unreal landscapes of Homolje.

The adventure starts from the Cepe pass, at an altitude of 740 meters (it is located between the village of Gornjane and the village of Krivelj, in the vicinity of Bor city). We climb to the top of Veliki Krs along the steep forest path (the time required for the ascent is about 2 hours).

The ridge trail is extremely attractive with views from which you can see the mountain Rtanj, Stol, Delij Jova, Homoljske planine, Miroč...

If the path is dry - we return to the foothills on the same path (the length of the entire path up and down is about 3.5 kilometers, with about 500 meters of ascent).

In case of bad weather (rain or fog), for safety reasons, the return is made by a longer path through the hamlet of Tsarevo selo (in this case, the length of the entire path, ascent and return to the starting point is about 7 kilometers).  

Then, on an easier path, we go to the top of Mount Stol (1155 meters), passing by a little lake on the way.

From the small lake (located next to the mountain lodge) to the top of Stol mountain, we follow a steep path and the ascent takes about 60 minutes of easy walking.

The length of this climb, from the Cepe pass to the top of Stola and back is about 6 kilometers.

Stol is a Carpathian-Balkan mountain located about 16 km north of Bor. The mountain abounds in attractive mountaineering terrains and spacious meadows rich in medicinal herbs and wild strawberries.

This adventure does not require top fitness, but you must be prepared for challenging climbs. It is suitable for:

- Teams and team building

- Hanging out with friends

- Challenge-seeking individuals and photography enthusiasts

- Families with older children

Very important: The total length of the route is about 13 kilometers (the duration of the adventure is up to 8 hours with breaks).

Trail difficulty: 6/10 (medium difficulty). 

Adventure participants must be physically fit for hiking and without health problems. The guide reserves the right to shorten or change the course of movement due to unfavorable weather conditions.

We suggest that you bring on the adventure: hiking shoes or sneakers with crampons, spare clothes, windbreaker, raincoat (in case of rain), hat, flashlight or headlamp. Hiking poles can be useful but are not required. This route is also suitable for older children.

We do not recommend climbing at mountain Veliki Krs in the summer months (July and August).

PRICE OF GUIDANCE

Price for hiring a tourist guide is 100,00 EUR (this is the total price for a group of up to 4 people).
