BREATHTAKING VIEWS
The most beautiful view of the entire Lazarus Canyon, Rtanj Mountain and Timočka Krajina
Malinik is a mountain in eastern Serbia and is located between the village of Zlot and the village of Podgorac. It belongs to the Carpathian Mountains, and its highest peaks are Veliki Malinik (1158 meters) and Mali Malinik (1020 meters). The most prominent features of Malinik are the viewpoints from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the entire Lazarus Canyon (almost 9 kilometers long), Rtanj mountain (which is about twenty kilometers away), the mysterious Dubašnica plain, the extinct volcano Tilva Njagra ("black hill" in Wallachian ) and the expanse of Timoćka krajina (from Malinik you can see the cities: Bor and Zaječar).
The starting point is Lazarus Cave (located at about 280 meters above sea level, a few kilometers west of the village of Zlot). The path is partly forest and partly macadam road - up to the intersection, one branch of which leads to the Kovey viewpoint and the canyon of the river Vey (which is part of Lazarev Canyon), and the other direction continues to the top of the Malinik mountain.
The total time required for the ascent to Mali Malinik is about 3 hours. At the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view - a panorama of the entire Lazarev Canyon. You feel as if you are floating above it... and above, the clouds gently slide and are almost within your reach (the incredible sight is completed by the steep cliffs and untouched wild nature). After climbing to the top of Mali Malinik, the road leads to the lookout point on Kovej (the depth of the canyon can only be understood when you approach the lookout point of Petra's rock - from where you have more than 400 meters to the very bottom of the canyon).
This adventure does not require an excessively high level of fitness. It is suitable for:
- Teams and team building
- Hanging out with friends
- Challenge seeking individuals and photography enthusiasts
- Families with older children
- Walking with pets
Climbing the Malinik mountain can be organized at any time, throughout the year.
Very important:
The length of the route is about 15 kilometers (duration of the adventure is about 8 hours).
The height difference from the starting point to the highest point is 800 meters.
Adventure participants must be physically fit for hiking and without health problems.
The guide reserves the right to shorten or change the course of movement due to unfavorable weather conditions.
We suggest you: hiking shoes, spare clothes, windbreaker, raincoat (in case of rain), hat and flashlight or headlamp.
PRICE OF GUIDANCE
Price for hiring a tourist guide is 100,00 EUR (this is the total price for a group of up to 4 people).
